Klang|Pause
Fancy a musical break?
Every Thursday from 12.30 to 1pm, young artists play Bach and/or baroque music in the gorgeous atrium of Hotel Elephant Weimar.
There is a singularly authentic flair to this specific place: right next to the hotel was the house* where Johann Sebastian Bach lived and played music with friends, pupils, and his family, from 1708 to 1717.
Handmade by young musicians
Klang|Pause programmes are conceived by and organised together with musicians of JUNIZEBB, the young international centre for Bach and baroque music.
You can find the recent programme on this website or receive one at the box office. You're going to hear solo and ensemble pieces from the baroque period in varying constellations, played on instruments of the epoch.
(programmes subject to change)
You can purchase snacks and drinks at the hotel bar or get them served to your seat.
Tickets are 6 € - no reductions apply.

*PS:
The renaissance-era vaulted cellars of the house have survived to this day, and they are the only remaining structural artefacts of an authentic Bach home anywhere in the world.
Klang|Pause is an impulse and an inspiration to revive this singular authentic potential.
Now what to do?
A ringing centre for the musical world language of BACH.
